Commercial Word services FAQ
  1. What experience qualifies The Wordmonger to offer these services?
The Wordmonger’s directors each have 15 years communications experience in PR and communications consultancy and in FTSE100 and 250 companies, working across brands, corporate and financial communications, internal communications, crisis and issues management and corporate social responsibility.
  2. Who's behind the Wordmonger?
Jeremy Probert and Jonathan Miller, both career communications professionals.
  3. Do you do all the work yourselves?
No. We are actively involved in all client activity, however we rely on a hand-picked network of communications professionals who we use individually, or as a team, as required. Quality control and customer service remain our responsibilities.
  4. Who has The Wordmonger worked for?
Guinness, Whitbread, Kingfisher, McVities, Nestle, Kwik Save, Perrier, Mitchells and Butlers, Food and Drink from Germany, El Al (Israel’s national airline) and the British Egg Industry Council.
  5. What timescales do you work to?
Dependent on the nature and complexity of the job, we would expect to respond within a minimum of one, and a maximum of three, days. We are happy to discuss individual deadlines.
  6. How can I check up on the progress of a piece of work?
By telephone or by using the email contact form, quoting your reference number. We’ll respond on receipt.
  7. What guarantees do you offer?
All work is carried out to our own high standards and we will be in regular contact with you during the process to ensure that the work is achieved to your complete satisfaction.
  8. Why do you request payment upfront and what recourse do I have if I’m not satisfied?
Payment is taken up front for smaller jobs as a declaration of intent and sign of good faith. As there is consultation between The Wordmonger and client during the job, we are confident that the work will be done to your satisfaction – if it is not, we would normally agree a partial or full refund.
  9. How do you calculate your fee structure?
The fee structure is based on hourly rates of £75, half day rates of £275 and day rates of £500 respectively.
  10. What confidentiality guarantees can you offer me?
The Wordmonger does not discuss a client’s work, or any information that may have been provided to facilitate a job, with anyone else. We are happy to sign confidentiality agreements if necessary.
  11. Do you offer any other services other than writing?
It is probably easier to look at what we don’t do. We don’t get involved in investor relations, large-scale financial communications, or national government relations. That is not to say we don’t have experience in these areas, because we do and if you’re looking for these services we can certainly advise you on where to find them.
